BIOAudioDetour is a coalition of artists based in Southern California that came together to voice the message of a generation through music. It began as a band of four, who had different musical influences but brought similar musical sensibilities to the table. Their sound draws inspiration from western genres such as rock n' roll, blues & hard rock and marries them to Indian folk, classical and contemporary musical styles. They continued experimenting with their sound to create an alternative experience while remaining true to the core emotion. AudioDetour's live performances range from intimate, living-room acoustic musings to larger electric sets. Their live experience includes performing at various festivals and opening for established Indian artists. AudioDetour's latest album 'Transitions, Reflections and 8 kilos of Achaar' is a compilation of 8 songs in Hindi that have been recorded at various points over the last 5 years. Many friends and other musicians have contributed to this album and have lent it their own voice. While trying to paint a picture with its own set of colors, this album strives not just to entertain but to trigger a myriad of emotions. AudioDetour's latest project is a slight departure from their previous musical and lyrical styles and is an attempt to transcend the barrier of language.
